Dean, McAfee School of Business
Biography
Dr. Dan Slater attended Central Bible College with the goal of becoming a Pastor like his father. After graduating he went to work for a local church as their Business Administrator and realized he enjoyed the business side of his job and decided to earn his MBA. Instead of going back to work in the church after his MBA, Dr. Slater followed the Lord鈥檚 call to become a professor and began his Ph.D. at the University of Arkansas. In 2010 Dr. Slater graduated and came to Union as a Professor of Management. During his time here, Dr. Slater has enjoyed discovering just how different individuals are and how those differences impact leadership decisions and organizational outcomes. When he is not in the classroom, Dr. Slater enjoys running, cycling, CrossFit, sci-fi movies and TV, and traveling with his wife of 22 years and their three sons.
