Grant R. Osborne

Professor of New Testament, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School

Grant R. Osborne, Ph.D., University of Aberdeen, has been a professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois, since 1977.

Osborne's areas of expertise include the Gospels, hermeneutics, and the book of Revelation. He is a member of the Society of Biblical Literature, the Evangelical Theological Society, Tyndale Fellowship, and the American College of Biblical Theologians.

Osborne pastored churches in Ohio and Illinois and is a popular speaker at pastors conferences in the U.S. as well as in Hong Kong and Korea.

Osborne's published works include The Resurrection Narratives and The Hermeneutical Spiral: A Comprehensive Introduction to Biblical Interpretation. He has also co-authored Handbook for Bible Study and The Bible in the Churches. His articles have appeared in periodicals such as Christianity Today and Evangelical Quarterly. Osborne is editor of the IVP New Testament Commentary series and the Life Application Bible Commentary.

Osborne, his wife, Nancy and two children reside in Libertyville, Illinois.
